| After attending my freshman and sophomore years at Mt. Gilead High School, I was forced to move back to Cleveland just before my junior year. I graduated from Marymount High School (a nice all-girl Catholic school) in 1972. Then on to Ohio University where the climate and social life was just a little different that an all-girl Catholic school. Had the pleasure of seeing Dean Gladden at an Ohio U. football game. He was in the Miami U. Marching Band. Of course, I said "hello" but needed to cheer the Bobcats on to a victory over Miami (I'm sure the Bobcats won!!).
I met my husband of 26 years - Kerry - at a high school graduation party in 1972, and according to a psychic - we were star-crossed and meant to be with each other forever. Remember, this was the 70's (peace, love and rock 'n roll). We were married in 1975 and it's been an adventure ever since. Kerry is a football coach which have made nomads out of the Hodakievic family. We have been involved with both high school and college coaching. We won the Div I State Football Championship in 1998 while involved with Canton McKinley Senior High School. Gotta love the ring. Currently, Kerry is coaching college football at Walsh University located in North Canton, Ohio. The cities we have called home have been Conneaut, Strongsville, Cleveland, Warren, Meadville, PA, Newbury, Barberton, Columbus, Upper Arlington and currently Canton, Ohio. Oh, for the love of football.
We have two extremely beautiful daughters (the mother in me comes out). Liz - 18 - is a freshman at Ohio University (and no she was not one of the 47 arrested at Ohio University's Halloween week-end. Another sleepless week-end behind me). Liz hopes to major in Visual Communications. And there's Abbey - 16 - a junior at Canton McKinley Sr. High School. A volleyball player and Little Miss Drama.
I work for a CPA firm - Smith, Barta & Company as their Administrative Assistant since moving to Canton, and just happy payday is every two weeks!!! Accountants are a different breed - very quiet - I however, am not!!!!
So glad to be FOUND by MGHS Class of 1972, remembered and still thought of as part of the class. I would have loved to graduate with you and have many fond memories. I hope to make it to the reunion. Looking forward to hearing from all of you.
