Class of 1972 - Steve McChesney

Lots of changes since our last get together, as I'm sure everyone has in their lives!! I received my B.S. in Agriculture from Purdue University. For many years, I operated a family farm and raised special fed veal. Since the last update, I have left the farm, something I thought would never happen, but it did. I worked for Marion Landmark for 2 1/2 years then went to work for Tim Sharrock at Liberty Mill in Galion, Shelby and Wooster, for 3 years. Then in Jan 02 I started working for my brothers at McChesney Implement (John Deere) in Marion in the sales department. As I write this in Dec 01, I am excited and nervous about the change. I am married to Phyllis, who was a sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics until 1999. She still sells a little, but has really scaled back. She is now the director of Women's Ministries at our church, North Woodbury Alliance, located south of Johnsville on SR 314. Phyllis and I moved from the farm near Cardington to a home near Johnsville several years ago and really enjoy our new neighborhood. We have three children. Our oldest, Andrea, 22, was married this July to Josh Chase, son of Larry and Peggy (Brady) Chase, nephew of Roger. Josh and Andrea are attending OSU Marion and Josh works for Rahmah Oil of Mt Gilead and Andrea works for McChesney Implement in Marion (owned by my brothers Bruce and Phil). Dana, born July 12, 1981 attends OSU in Mansfield and works for Steve Curts at Morrow Telephone in Mt. Gilead. She is studying to become a high school teacher with Spanish and History as her majors. Nicholas, born Aug. 20, 1985 attends Mansfield Christian School. He enjoys golf and is involved in the youth group at our church and also works at the Der Dutchman Restaurant near Bellville.
