Birthday: January 28, 1954

I received my B.S. in Psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the American University. I am the Curriculum Coordinator for Youthbuild, a HUD based program for which I wrote the grants in West Memphis, Arkansas, just across the bridge from where we live. I also organize for social justice with a faith-based group associated with the Industrial Areas Foundation. I have found working systemically with the disenfranchised is better therapy for my patients and for me!

My son, James, born on July 14, 1987, is a freshman in high school and nose guard for a winning freshman football team this year. Many of you knew my parents: Dad is managing pretty well out in Albuquerque near my sister Amy after we lost my mother in December 2000. Hope to see you all in MOUNT (yes, Mrs. Burns) Gilead.

UPDATE: 12/9/02
I have moved to Albuquerque New Mexico to live with my Dad and have a new position as program director at Central United Methodist Church, a 500-family church in downtown Albuquerque. Jimmy is finishing his football and academic semester in Memphis and will move here in December.
