Birthday: November 19, 1953

David and I moved to Kentucky in 1975 in order for him to complete his B.S. degree in police administration at Eastern Kentucky University. After graduation, we moved to Lexington, Kentucky where David began his career as a police officer and I began mine with the University of Kentucky. I have been with the university for 24 years, spending a majority of my time working in the Graduate School, the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies and now in the Office of the Provost. I enjoy working in an administrative position with the various deans to help advance the academic programs. While working at the university I received my B.A. in business education.
After 8 years as a police officer, David began a career (now entering his 17th year) in police training as an instructor at Kentucky’s main law enforcement academy, the Department of Criminal Justice Training. He presently is a staff assistant in charge of the academy’s research and planning section.
We have three boys

Chad (born in 1977) is completing his B.S. degree in computer information systems at Eastern Kentucky University and is working part-time.
Eric (born in 1979) is starting his career as a police officer with the Lexington Police Department and will be completing his B.S. degree in police administration at Eastern Kentucky University on a part-time basis.
Sean (born in 1987) is a freshman in high school and enjoys basketball and baseball.

In our free time between work, church activities, community activities and the boys, David and I enjoy working around the house and traveling.
